Job Summary:

The Wisconsin Crop Innovation Center (WCIC) building is a 100,000 square foot agricultural biotechnology/greenhouse complex. The building houses state-of-the-art transgenic plant laboratories and greenhouses which support unprecedented scientific advancement opportunities and improves plants for humans, livestock, and the environment. The center has a high throughput transformation pipeline capable of generating transgenic and edited plants and will need a molecular biologist for a wide variety of tasks associated with the Molecular Technologies Department. The candidate selected for this role will focus on plasmid cloning and preparation, PCR analysis, gel electrophoresis, plant DNA/RNA extraction, and other molecular biology duties.

Schedule Comment:

The scheudle will vary, but the hours of operation are 7:30am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. This position would be subject to the Affordable Care Act rules of averaging 30 hours or less per week.
