Job Summary:

The Payroll and Administration Specialist works to support the Office of Precollege Programming and Compliance within the Division of Continuing Studies (DCS). The Office of Precollege Programming and Compliance works collaboratively with the directors and coordinators of all youth programming associated with the University of Wisconsin-Madison to support the training, oversight, policies, and standards of youth programming.
This position is primarily responsible for administering and coordinating payroll policies and procedures for all short-term staff working for DCS pre-college programs (Summer Music Clinic, Wisconsin Center for Academically Talented Youth (WCATY)), oversight of financial activities that relate to DCS pre-college programs as well as supporting the office with oversight of compliance activities for all UW-Madison precollege programs. This position may also administer payroll related functions for other areas of DCS in a lead or backup capacity as needed.
This position will report to the Department Supervisor and will need to have strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, ability to work independently to seek information regarding policies and procedures, and excellent communication and customer support skills.


Schedule Comment:

7:45-4:30, Monday through Friday, or based on Divisional needs.
