Degree and Area of Specialization:
Bachelor's degree required in biology, biochemistry, or other related field of life science.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
A minimum of one (1) year of laboratory experience or equivalent level of skill is required. Undergraduate research experience is acceptable. Qualified candidates will demonstrate:
- Strong molecular biology skills to assist with subcloning efforts.
- Experience with protein purification and characterization, including bacterial expression and chromatography.
- Proficiency with executing, optimizing, and troubleshooting plate-based biochemical assays.
- Familiarity with mammalian cell culture techniques.
- Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a clean workspace.
- Interest in working collaboratively and actively engaging in scientific exchange of ideas.
License or certificate:

Located in the Denu Lab at WID, this part-time technician position provides support to a new drug discovery project.
This position is expected to end after 8/31/2019. There is a possibility it may be extended up to 2 years from the start date. Depending on funding this position may be made ongoing.
