Degree and Area of Specialization:
MD, DO or equivalent degree. Surgical specialization required.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Minimum three years of wound care and/or hyperbaric medicine experience required.
License or certificate:
Candidate is required to have or be eligible for a Wisconsin Medical License. Board Certification in Surgery through the American Board of Surgery or American Osteopathic Board of Surgery or equivalent. Must be eligible for enrollment as a billing provider and for all necessary hospital privileges.
In partnership with UnityPoint Health-Meriter, the University of Wisconsin Department of Surgery is recruiting a wound specialist to join the UW Health Wound Healing Center care team, with primary clinical responsibilities at the Meriter Wound Clinic and Meriter Hospital. This position will provide clinic and inpatient wound care services at Meriter hospital as well as supervisory responsibilities for the Meriter-based wound advanced practice providers.
