Position Summary: Individuals in the Digital Accessibility Consultant role contribute to the mission of the Digital Accessibility Program to proactively and systematically address the overall accessibility of Carolina's digital resources, including websites, video and other online content. Digital Accessibility Consultants are the technical, on- the-ground experts working directly with campus partners to identify, remediate and educate on digital accessibility challenges and opportunities.
Ideal candidates are individuals who have a passion for digital accessibility and are excited by the opportunity to contribute to the University's efforts to create and sustain an inclusive digital environment for our faculty, staff, students and visitors.
This position is based in Information Technology Services and reports to the Head of Digital Accessibility.

Education Requirements:

Qualification and Experience: Associate's degree in Computer Information Technology, computer Technology Integration, Networking Technology, or related area and one year of experience in the information technology field related to the position's role; or - Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year experience in the information technology field related to the position's role; or - Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, math or engineering or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Journey level required an additional one year of experience - Advanced level required an additional two years of experience.
