Position Summary: Under the direction of the Assistant Dean for Information Technology, this position will provide project management for the SoD. This position will work with school leadership, stakeholders, project managers, project assistants, subject matter experts and others at the University, the SoD and external organizations like UNC Health Care and commercial vendors as requested or required to successfully complete complex IT and business projects for the dental school. Projects will include but not be limited to the implementation of [email protected] This position is responsible for identifying Application Portfolio Simplification opportunities and facilitating the optimization. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of assigned projects with a specific focus ensuring consistency with SoD strategy, commitments and goals.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management or closely related degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in IT project management or technical project management related work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualification and Experience: Five or more years of project management experience implementing medium to large IT projects. PMP certification or Bachelors or Master's degree in project management or MBA in Project Management.
