Clinical Instructor in Women's Radiology
The Department of Radiology is currently seeking a Fellow in women's radiology. Training will include all aspects of breast imaging including screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, tomosynthesis and interventional procedures, including percutaneous procedures (stereotactic , ultrasound and MRI-guided core biopsies, vacuum assisted biopsies, cyst aspirations, fine needle aspirations, needle localizations and galactography). The Fellow will play an active role in a multidisciplinary approach to breast care and is expected to participate in multidisciplinary conferences, teaching, and clinical research.
The fellow will also have the opportunity to spend elective time in Breast Surgery, Medical Oncology, Radiation Therapy, and Breast Pathology, and will participate in departmental call responsibilities for Women's Radiology.
The fellow will participate in all aspects of the department's academic and research activities, including all relevant departmental conferences, journal club (quarterly), interdisciplinary conferences (twice weekly), resident/medical student teaching (6 lectures), and a Women's Radiology scholarly/research/quality improvement project. The fellow will be given the opportunity to attend one national scientific meeting (approved by fellowship program director) and will be expected to submit at least one journal manuscript during the fellowship year. In support of these pursuits, the fellow will be provided with faculty mentorship, instruction in research design/analytic methods, and one-half day of dedicated academic time per week, on average.
