The Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics and the Markey Cancer Center at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine invites applications for faculty at Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The applicant should be an outstanding scientist in an area of research addressing cancer immunology. Qualifications will be commensurate with the faculty level applied for but generally, applicants should have a PhD and/or MD, or equivalent degree, a track record of sustained scientific accomplishment, potential for extramural funding, and teaching experience in immunology.

The Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics is a unique department with a multidisciplinary faculty positioned for opportunities for interdisciplinary cross-talk and collaboration. Teaching efforts also include professional medical and dental students and undergraduates. Additional information regarding the Department and the University is found at ( The Markey Cancer Center is Kentucky's only NCI-designated center and recognized in August of 2017 as one of the Top 50 Cancer Centers in the nation by US News & World Report.

In addition to the Markey Cancer Center, The University of Kentucky is home to a CTSA-supported Center for Clinical and Translational Science, Kentucky Neuroscience Institute, Saha Cardiovascular Research Center, Barnstable Brown Diabetes and Obesity Center, and NIA supported Sanders-Brown Center on Aging. UK's Resource Center for Stable Isotope-Resolved Metabolomics is one of only six NIH Common Fund-supported Regional Comprehensive Metabolomics Resource Centers in the U.S. The College takes pride in interdisciplinary programs in neurosciences, cancer, toxicology, and cardiovascular disease and is committed to maintaining ongoing interactions and fostering new collaborations across clinical and basic science departments.
