Job Information
Job Summary:
The Research Assistant will assist lab members in preparing and conducting experiments, within the Alenghat laboratory.
Responsibilities:
- Follow established procedures or protocols, providing assistance with research projects, performing basic laboratory techniques, assisting with maintaining, behavioral testing and/or surgical preparation of animals.
- Collects and enters data.
- Maintains and orders supplies.
Competencies:
- Basic knowledge in relevant scientific field required.
- Problem-solving skills required.
- Attention to detail required.
- Organizational skills required.
- Ability to learn new research techniques or methods required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.
- Analytical skills preferred.
- Verbal and written communication skills preferred.
Additional Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the research being conducted required.
- One year of research experience or relevant experience preferred.
