Description
The Walker Department of Mechanical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin seeks outstanding applicants for the position of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor in the Nuclear and Radiation Engineering Program. Specific areas of interest include but are not limited to computational radiation transport, nuclear science and engineering for non-proliferation and national security, nuclear analytical techniques for materials characterization, robotics for nuclear applications, nuclear fuel cycles, advanced nuclear reactor design, and medical and industrial applications of nuclear technology.


Qualifications
Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in Engineering or Natural Sciences related to Nuclear Science and Engineering and a record of accomplishment commensurate with rank. The successful candidates will also be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, maintain a strong sponsored research program, supervise graduate students, collaborate with other faculty, and be involved in service to the university and profession.
