The Operations Research & Industrial Engineering program at The University of Texas at Austin invites applicants for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor broadly focused on the integration of data and decision making. Specific methodological areas of interest include: analytics, optimal learning, analysis of large data sets, and simulation. Candidates with demonstrated interest in the application areas of dynamic pricing, energy, or healthcare are especially encouraged to apply.
Candidates must have a PhD in operations research, industrial engineering, or a related area, and a record of high accomplishment with a clearly upward-pointing career trajectory. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, develop a strong sponsored research program, supervise graduate students, collaborate with other faculty, and be involved in service to the university and profession.

Candidates should address their submission to the ORIE Faculty Search Committee. Evaluation of applications will begin November 15, 2018, and will continue until an appropriate candidate is identified. Applicants who submit their application by October 15 will be considered for informal interviews at the annual INFORMS Conference in Phoenix, AZ (November 2-7).
