The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy is seeking applications for a full time non-tenure track Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor in the Division of Pharmacy Practice, with a clinical site at the LIVESTRONG Cancer Institutes in Austin, Texas.

The successful applicant will lecture, facilitate practice laboratories, and supervise advanced pharmacy practice experiences for students in the Pharm.D. program. Clinical service that supports Pharm.D. student education is expected, as well as service to the college, university, and broader professional community. The successful individual will have the opportunity to collaborate with tenure track and non-tenure track faculty on research and scholarship. The faculty member will be expected to provide service to the college, the university and the broader professional community.

The primary practice focus of this position is serving as a clinical oncology pharmacist for the CaLM Clinic in the LIVESTRONG Cancer Institutes. The \u201cCaLM Clinic\u201d is a comprehensive, patient-centered clinical and supportive ambulatory service with wraparound care for patients and their loved ones in all phases of the cancer journey. CaLM, which stands for \u201cCAncer Life reiMagined\u201d is an oncology medical home approach that will integrate high acuity, sub-specialty clinical cancer care with comprehensive, ongoing supportive care for patients and caregivers.

At the clinic, the successful applicant will be responsible for providing comprehensive medication management services that integrate clinical services, order management, patient/staff education and research. The successful applicant will be responsible for improving the patient's cancer treatment experience, safety, achieving positive clinical and financial outcomes, and must have in-depth knowledge of treatment of the oncology patient and oncology therapeutics and experience developing collaborative practice agreements. In addition, this role will also support developing early clinical trials/Phase I Program at the LIVESTRONG Cancer Institutes. The successful applicant will be expected to participate in the assessment and management of drug related toxicities, drug-drug interactions, adherence to clinical protocols, and participate in a multidisciplinary clinical research team.

Candidates must have earned a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from an ACPE accredited school of Pharmacy, be eligible for licensure in the State of Texas, have successfully completed a oncology specialty practice residency or equivalent experience, be board certified or board eligible in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP), and be able to demonstrate effective teaching.
