Description
The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy is seeking applications for a full-time non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Pharmacy Practice in collaboration with CommUnityCare, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Austin, Texas.

The successful applicant will lecture, facilitate practice laboratories, supervise advanced pharmacy practice experiences in the Pharm.D. program, and assist with the supervision of PGY-2 ambulatory care residents. Clinical service is expected, as well as service to the college, university, and broader professional community. The successful individual will have the opportunity to collaborate with tenure track and non-tenure track faculty on research and scholarship.

The clinical practice site associated with this position is in collaboration with CommUnityCare, a FQHCs which has nine full-time ambulatory care clinical pharmacists who provide comprehensive medication management to patients with complex chronic diseases. CommUnityCare clinical pharmacists enjoy substantial autonomy with collaborative care agreements to adjust and monitor medication regimens for a wide range of disease states.


Qualifications
Candidates must have earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy, be licensed or eligible for licensure in Texas, completed PGY-1 and PGY-2 residences or have equivalent experience, be board certified or board eligible in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy (BCACP) or Pharmacotherapy (BCPP), and be able to demonstrate effective teaching. Candidates with experience providing high-quality care for patients with diabetes, hypertension, and thromboembolic disorders, and with experience providing effective teaching, will receive top consideration.
