Position Summary

We are seeking a colleague at the Associate/Full Professor level who is able to teach within the CACREP core areas at both the master's and doctoral levels and provide leadership within the department. Individuals with experience in and ability to obtain research and/or training funding through federal grants, foundations, and contracts are strongly encouraged to apply. This position involves teaching and providing clinical supervision in both the master's and doctoral programs, serving on doctoral dissertation committees, pursuing external funding, contributing to quality scholarship within and outside of the field, providing service to the department, and program development. This position is a 9-month tenure track faculty position with the option of summer teaching beginning August 2019. Members of diverse populations are strongly encouraged to apply. Knowledge and ability to teach in crisis and trauma, the application of neuroscience to counseling, and evidenced based practices is preferred for either position. Other areas of interest include, but are not limited to, program evaluation, assessment, and career counseling.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants are required to have an earned PhD in Counselor Education from a CACREP accredited program.

Preferred Qualifications

Applicants should have, or be eligible for, relevant counselor credentials (e.g., LPC, NCC, North Carolina school counselor license) in North Carolina.
