Position Summary

The Weekend Assistant Desk Manager position serves on the Student Employment/Desk Management team as a key supervisor ensuring that high customer service standards are met and patron issues are resolved at the Check Out and Welcome Desks. It also assists in all aspects related to the employment and management of the approximately 100 work study and departmental student employees that work within the department each year. This position creates and maintains multimedia training to be used by all employees. The position also includes responsibilities for managing material requests, routing materials and managing supplies for the department.



Minimum Qualifications

HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENCY AND TWO YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN LIBRARY SERVICES, OFFICE SUPPORT, OR RELATED FIELD; OR EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE.



Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two years of circulation operations, supervision and training experience in an academic library. One year experience managing payrolls and scheduling employees. Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills. Experience creating multimedia projects. Proficient using Microsoft Word and Excel.

Recruitment Range $35,345-$36,563
