Position Summary

The primary purposes of the Stacks Manager position are to direct and coordinate stacks activities and to hire, train and supervise student employees working in the stacks, all in a manner that allows the library to provide a safe and inviting environment for productive research, study and collaboration for all users. This position also provides customer service that ensures that the Libraries' service standards are met and patron issues are resolved.



Minimum Qualifications

HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENCY AND TWO YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN LIBRARY SERVICES, OFFICE SUPPORT, OR RELATED FIELD; OR EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE.



Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two years of stacks operations, supervision, training and circulation experience in an academic library. One year experience scheduling employees. Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills. Experience creating multimedia projects. Proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel.
