Job Description Summary:
The Construction Trades Instructor will teach courses for the Construction Trades Green Technology program at our high school location in St. Joe County, Michigan.

Specific duties will include working with both college curriculum as well as Career and Technical Education (CTE) curriculum with St. Joe county.

Required Qualifications:
-Associates Degree in Construction Trades
-Michigan Residential Builders license
-Building experience
-Previous teaching experience or a combination of education and experience commensurate with the duties of this position.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or higher

Other Information:
All applicants must demonstrate the ability to promote active and collaborative learning through a variety of teaching methods, as well as relate to students. Excellent organization and communication skills as well as the demonstrated use of instructional technology are required.

Southwestern Michigan College, a two-year college located approximately 45 minutes north of South Bend, Indiana, and approximately 45 minutes from Lake Michigan’s eastern shore.
