Job Description Summary:
Southwestern Michigan College is seeking student employees to work in our Student Activity Center as Attendants for the 2019 Spring Semester.

Student Activity Center “SAC” Attendants will be expected to perform a variety of customer service functions, working at either the front desk or in the fitness center.

Front desk duties will include: answering telephones, checking out equipment to members, and scheduling facilities.

Fitness Center duties include: monitoring and spotting gym members as they exercise, picking up weights, and spot cleaning the weight machines. Other duties will include routine cleaning and staffing/managing student activity special events.

Required Qualifications:
-Excellent customer service
-Effective communication skills
-Basic computer literacy
-Must be CPR certified or have the ability to become certified upon employment
-Must be willing to work as early as 6 AM, or as late as 11 PM throughout the week

Special Instructions to Applicants:
You must be enrolled in at least 6 credits at the College with a 2.0 cumulative GPA. Contact hours will not be used to meet the 6 credit hour minimum.
OR
You must be enrolled or continuing your education with Ferris State University or Michigan State University on the campus of SMC and be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours and at least 1 credit hour with SMC.
