Job Description Summary:
Southwestern Michigan College is seeking a student Business Office Assistant.

The student employee will assist in all aspects of the cashier's window; processing student payments, waiting on students at the window, answering the phone, updating spreadsheets and filing.

Required Qualifications:
-Candidates must exhibit the ability to deliver exceptional customer service, multi-task and be able to handle a cash drawer
-Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
-Previous business/accounting classes and/or office experience

Other Information:
The Business Office is seeking a student to work for approximately 20 hours per week during normal business hours. Other hours may be available as needed.

Special Instructions to Applicants:
You must be enrolled in at least 6 credits at the College with a 2.0 cumulative GPA. Contact hours will not be used to meet the 6 credit hour minimum.
OR
You must be enrolled or continuing your education with Ferris State University or Michigan State University on the campus of SMC and be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours and at least 1 credit hour with SMC.
