About This Position
The Department of Pathology at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, is seeking a Research Associate I. Dr. Desrosier's Lab is using adeno-associated virus (AAV) as a vector system for in vivo delivery of monoclonal antibodies with potent neutralizing activity as an approach to prevention and therapy of AIDS virus infection in non-human primates. The duties of the selected candidate will include ELISA assays for quantitating antibody levels in serum, construction and purification of plasmid DNA, protein purification and measurements of virus neutralization. This position is located in the research laboratory of Professor Ronald C. Desrosiers in the Life Science and Technology Park building. The RA will work directly under the supervision of an Associate Scientist.
Bachelor's degree in a science-related field. Prior experience working in a research laboratory is beneficial but not required.
