The position is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the University’s student account receivables and collections efforts via implementing policies and procedures related to billing activities including tuition and fees while promoting and supporting a highly collaborative and engaged service-oriented culture. Also responsible for maintaining accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations governing Title IV, IRS required filings such as the 1098T and other forms of aid. Ensure that all customers receive the highest levels of customer service.

Establish policies and procedures that effectively allow the Office of Student Accounts Services (OSAS) to maintain compliance with federal regulations governing higher education with the highest levels of accuracy Provide guidance and work closely with three Associate Directors to ensure daily operations run smoothly in all areas of the department Analyze and implement service related policies and procedures to maximize service to students and parents Troubleshoot system issues with other departments to ensure integrity of all systems and data Hire, train, develop and set performance standards for all departmental employees Conduct group presentations for parents/students on and off campus Liaison to departments, colleges, and schools and other departments regarding financial registration Work closely and collaboratively with departments, colleges, schools, Financial Aid, Student Affairs, Registrar and other stakeholders to manage the student cancellation process Analyze financial data and prepare reports for senior management Work closely with Financial Aid and Retention Advisors to ensure the University achieves benchmark goals Work with Student Affairs as “Troubleshooter” to expedite resolution to all student/parent financial issues escalated to the University Ombudsperson Communicating OSAS information to other areas of the University Provide back-up and actively provide hands on customer service during peak periods each semester Produce multiple reports to maintain compliance for federal, state, Department of Education and the IRS with the highest levels of accuracy.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s in Business Administration or related fields. Master’s degree preferred. At least Ten (10) years of experience managing a similar department at a college or university.
