UHealth is currently seeking an Urgent Care Physician. The incumbent in this position provides urgent health care for individuals in the Urgent Care Clinic commensurate with training and in accordance with the general policies and standards of practice, as established by the clinic. Delivers care appropriate for an urgent care center with a multicultural patient population. Elicits detailed patient histories and conducts complete physician examinations. Reaches diagnosis and orders appropriate laboratory tests and referrals, etc., as well as counsels patient and family on health and disease.The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows: Doctoral Degree (MD, DO, Doctor of Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine),State ofFloridaPhysician License required.One year of experience in areas of emergency room medicine, urgent care and/or family medicine preferred.Board certification in emergency room medicine or family medicine preferred.Current active state and federal DEA license.
