Degree and Area of Specialization:
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Minimum 2 years of professional experience in an academic, health care, and/or administrative setting. Preferred candidates will have experience with event planning, digital communications (social media, e-newsletters), and/or coordination of continuing medical education. Familiarity with UW-Madison accounting and travel policies and procedures preferred.
Required Skills:
1. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
2. Ability to work effectively in a team setting with faculty, staff, and external partners.
3. Ability to plan, lead and manage projects within deadline and budget parameters and to achieve measurable results.

Position Summary:
The selected candidate for this position will serve as a key member for the Wisconsin Surgical Outcomes Research Program (WiSOR), a vibrant health services research program within the Department of Surgery. The most immediate needs are for the Surgical Coaching Academy, but we envision this person to work with multiple PIs and research teams within WiSOR. The incumbent will assist with communications, event coordination, and CME related to WiSOR.
