Position Summary: The Grants Specialist is responsible for facilitating all School of Nursing grants management through fiscal and human resources oversight. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following tasks: carries out procedures to ensure that sufficient funding is available at all times to cover grant expenses; advises and trains project managers on the proper University and SON policies, procedures and regulations; notifies grant personnel of key deadlines; assist Principal Investigators with hiring process; prints and reconciles monthly expenditure reports; processes monthly Pcard reconciliation; creates and maintains expenditure spreadsheets with data obtained from ConnectCarolina and InfoPorte; prepares all accounting books for newly funded and existing projects; prepares project closeout reports, and other reports or special projects as requested by the Grants Manager; requests copier codes, purchasing and diner club cards; prepares small grant proposal budgets; conducts the quarterly Account Manager Meetings; and independently aids in communicating and troubleshooting by actively seeking solutions to any problems that arise and making recommendations to the Grants Manager.

Education Requirements:

Qualification and Experience: Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
