Administrative Specialist - NW District, UGA Extension

Position Summary: This is the lead administrative support position for the Northwest district of UGA cooperative Extension. It performs administrative and support duties with wide latitude for exercising discretion and judgement. It serves as office manager and frequently interprets written policies and procedures and explains them to others. It Often deals with highly confidential issues and must be able to use discretion effectively.

Responsibilities: Performs administrative and support duties with wide latitude for exercising discretion and judgement. Administers employee hiring processes and terminations, employee contracts, serious incident reports, promotion processes, and annual performance reviews on all employees.

Qualifications: Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualificaitons.
