Patient Services Coordinator/UKHC

Job description



The Department of Ophthalmology is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator who will serve as the point of contact for managing physician schedules and responding to patient requests.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: optimizing physician clinic and surgery schedules, communicating with referring physicians, some patient appointment scheduling, responding to patient calls and requests in a timely and pleasant manner, and ensuring any insurance pre-authorizations for procedures are obtained. Customer service and patient satisfaction are a focus and priority for this position.

In addition, this position will function as the on-site liaison for medical students on Ophthalmology rotations, responding to emergent needs and coordinating with the Medical Student Coordinator.

Patient registration, supporting multiple physician practices, organization, customer service.

Bachelors degree plus one or more years related healthcare experience supporting multiple physician practices preferred.
