Job description



The patient safety technician will provide continuous observation of assigned patient and ensures a safe environment for patient and staff.. Must be able to visualize and hear patient at all times and intervene and notify nurse if patient is in danger.

Physical Requirements

This position will require sitting/standing for long periods of time, communicating with patients and fellow staff on a regular basis, and navigating the hospital.



Shift

Must be able to work three twelve hours shifts from either 7AM to 7pm OR 7PM to 730AM; shift to be determined ; will also be required to work some weekends and holidays



Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

working knowledge of a hospital setting , excellent communication skills, ability problem solve, basic computer skills, calm demeanor

Prior experience in a patient care setting is preferred
