Job description

A Scientist I position is available in the Department of Molecular & Cellular Biochemistry, University of Kentucky ( The successful candidate will focus on functional and biochemical studies of self-renewal mechanisms in cancer stem cells, and manage the laboratory's zebrafish facility.

The candidates should have a degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline and published at least two research articles in international peer-reviewed journals as the first author. The successful candidate should have demonstrated expertise in zebrafish husbandry, as well as practical experience in biochemical and molecular biological techniques (e.g. cloning, working with cultured cell lines and primary cells, immunoprecipitation, protein expression and purification, etc.).
