The Economics, Accounting and Business Department at Converse College invites applications for TWO (2) tenure track positions in Business at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, to begin in August 2019.

Teaching areas include a mix of statistics, quantitative decision methods, data analytics for business and finance, principles of economics, and management/human resource management. It is not anticipated that one candidate would cover all areas, though this professor should be a generalist within their discipline.

This professor may also be responsible for developing and offering other business courses as needed, such as introductory courses in data science for business applications. Additional responsibilities include advising, assessment, program development, professional development, and service to the department, college, and community.

Candidates should have completed a Ph.D. in a business area, with a specialization in one of the areas listed above, from a regionally accredited university (ideally, from an AACSB accredited institution). Candidates should be excellent, experienced teachers, have significant experience with academic service, have a plan for continued professional development, enjoy working with undergraduate students, and be able to collaborate with colleagues from diverse disciplines within a liberal arts environment.

Converse College is a private, women's liberal arts college, located in Spartanburg, SC, with an enrollment of ~ 1,250 traditional and non-traditional undergraduate and co-ed graduate students. The Department of Economics, Accounting and Business offers undergraduate degrees in Economics, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, and Business which included concentrations in Finance, Human Resource Management, International Business, Marketing, and Sports Management.
