Position Summary:

Provide research, program, and administrative support for the office of Institutional Research.  Perform general office maintenance tasks including copying, filing, and  distribution of materials, processing of invoices, expenditure tracking, scheduling, and data entry.  

Responsible for managing the administrative aspects of survey and focus group data collection processes, for preparing research reports for presentation and printing, and for maintaining and providing access to information about College statistics to internal and external constituencies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Institutional Research, Assessment, and Accreditation: Coordinate and respond to external surveys, ad-hoc, and routine queries about college facts and statistics; develop and maintain repositories of frequently-requested information. Find, retrieve, and process information from public higher education data sources.  Prepare, check, and format tables and graphs and prepare and produce professionally-formatted reports. Prepare draft materials for IRB approval processes.  Manage survey and focus group data collection processes.  Manage user provisioning and troubleshooting for campus Qualtrics License.  Work as a part of the IR team on diverse projects, including reaccreditation.

Program Support-LAA: Provide administrative and program support to the Faculty Director of Advising, Liberal Arts Advising Program, and related programming, including Sophomore Reboot.  Manage LAA budget and schedule, coordinate communication with Liberal Arts Advisors, and provide support for scheduling and reimbursement for advising meetings.  Organize Sophomore Reboot and other LAA-related events, including logistics, food, publicity, and communications.

Administrative Support:  Provide administrative support to the executive director and to ongoing institutional research and assessment projects. Process invoices, maintain accounting files, and track expenditures for the IR office.  Proofread and number-check reports, prepare Excel, Word, and PowerPoint documents for publication and presentation, perform data entry.  Maintain website documents to ensure that information is up-to-date.  Maintain organization of office documents; implement document retention policy.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Skills:  Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, writing skills, graphical presentation skills, comfort with quantitative data, strong knowledge of  MS Excel, Word, and Power Point including graphing, document formatting, and data management capabilities.  Familiarity with Tableau, R, Cognos, and/or Banner a plus. Demonstrate a track record as a proactive learner, engaging intellectual curiosity in a wide variety of tasks.  Must possess a professional telephone manner and an ability to interact with a wide variety of people.  Experience with or interest in social science research (undergraduate work in sociology, psychology, statistics, and marketing) is valuable.

Additional Information:

This is a full-time, 3 year, limited-term position, scheduled to end on June 30, 2021.
