The Department of Nursing at the Helen and Arthur E. Johnson Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs will establish and maintain a pool of Clinical Lecturers from which future appointments to temporary, non-tenure track positions will be made. Appointments are part-time (less than 50% time) and will be made semester-by-semester. Temporary Lecturer appointments are not eligible for group health and life insurance benefits or leave accrual. Pay rate is dependent on the number of courses taught.

The position is responsible for teaching various courses at the clinical sites for the Department of Nursing. Specialties include Medical-Surgical, Pediatric, Maternal Child Care, Mental Health and Community Health.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing and actively enrolled in a graduate program with anticipated graduation in 2019
  • Active, non-encumbered Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) or Colorado RN license
  • Minimum of three years of work experience in the area of nursing specialty


Preferred Requirements

  • Previous academic teaching experience
  • Masters of Science in Nursing
