Nature of Work

The Physical Therapy Program has an opening for a Temp Aide position, working between 24-40 hours/week. Temporary positions do not receive benefits. This position provides assistance to faculty, students, and staff.

Examples of Work Performed

This position requires the ability to be reliable, responsible, team-oriented, self-directed, detail-minded, and flexible. Must be adaptable to Program needs, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Event assistance from initial preparations through completion of events
  • Data collection, input, tracking, reporting, and organization within various systems
  • Document preparation: formatting, editing
  • Assist with greeting guests to the program: answer phones, direct questions to appropriate personnel
  • Communication with faculty, staff, and departmental and external representatives
  • Cross-coverage for staff
  • Other duties as assigned



Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Performance with high level of accuracy; attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Applications. Ability to multitask and take direction from multiple department representatives. Ability to adapt to changing environments, statuses, and responsibilities given minimal notice. Ability to steward processes to successful completion.

Minimum Requirements

Excellent interpersonal skills; Detail-oriented; Highly organized; Intermediate ability in Microsoft Office Suite; High competency in event planning and accomplishment.
