Job Summary

The College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) and the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder are currently seeking applications for tenure-track faculty positions in the area of Energy and Catalysis. These positions are part of the long-term growth plans for the College of Engineering and Applied Science. The College of Engineering and Applied Science at CU Boulder, a tier-one professional school, is the highest ranked engineering college in the Rocky Mountain time-zone. The openings are targeted at the level of Assistant Professor, but experienced candidates with outstanding credentials will be considered for Associate or Full Professor appointments. Within the broad energy and catalysis areas we are focusing on candidates in the following specialties: heterogeneous catalysis, biocatalysis, (bio)chemical processes for energy conversion, and separations. We are especially interested in qualified candidates who would contribute, through their research, teaching, and service, to the diversity and excellence of our academic community.

The position will be rostered in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, or in other departments in the College of Engineering and Applied Science as appropriate. Candidates must have an earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree in chemical engineering or a related field. Candidates will be expected to engage in undergraduate and graduate teaching, contribute professional service, and develop visible, vigorous, and externally funded research programs in their technical areas.

The College of Engineering and Applied Science currently has 11 interdisciplinary searches in the areas of Cybersecurity, Machine Learning, Biomedical Engineering, Water & Sustainability, Materials Science, Imaging Science, Autonomous Systems, Energy and Catalysis, Hypersonics, Computer Engineering and Geotechnical Engineering.
