The Center for Contemplative Mind in Society (CMind), a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the transformation of higher education through contemplative practices, is now hiring an Association Manager. This is a new position at CMind. The creation of this position has been necessitated by the growth of the Association for Contemplative Mind in Higher Education (ACMHE), a professional academic membership association with ~800 members, which is now the primary program initiative of CMind.

The Association Manager will hold primary responsibility for managing the day-to-day operations of ACMHE. Responsibilities will include developing new resources for member use; organizing and managing member solicitation and retention campaigns; working with CMind/ACMHE leadership and advisors; and providing support for ACMHE events (conferences, summer sessions, retreats, regional events etc.).

This position will work with the CMind staff, an advisory committee, and the CMind board to realize the direction and strategy of the ACMHE, and to foster its development as a valuable support for our growing professional community.

The successful candidate will possess great attention to detail while being versatile and adaptable, able to respond quickly and calmly to changing circumstances and issues as they arise. The position will work directly with our members, requiring efficient and helpful responses to a wide variety of inquiries. Interactions with members should align with and demonstrate our organizational ethos and values, including service, authenticity, inclusion, and integrity.

This is a full-time position located at our office in Florence, MA. Because this position sometimes requires attendance at events, the ability to work on weekends, in evenings, and to travel is occasionally required. Computer proficiency (Windows environment, but Mac use is possible) and telephone use is required. There are no other physical requirements other than the ability to travel in order to attend events.
