PCC is seeking a HR Career Development Coordinator to join the HR Office of Professional and Organizational Development. This is a temporary, six month benefited position.
This is a new position that provides an exciting opportunity for a creative, strategic, and collaborative individual to guide the framework of a career development program to support employee success and opportunity.

Under the direction of the Organizational Development Director, the HR Career Development Coordinator will help to design, develop and maintain an equitable career development program. Utilizing best practices, the incumbent will work to elevate the importance of career development by curating existing modalities and exploring new strategies.

PCC serves nearly 80,000 full and part-time students from all walks of life in the Portland area. Typical duties and Responsibilities
Assesses needs, analyzes gaps, identifies barriers, researches best practices, and partners with Human Resources colleagues and College management to identify, develop and implement effective career development strategies including deep classification, hiring strategies, recruitment consultant model, and evaluation process.

Recommends, designs, develops and implements innovative and sustainable career development programing including training programs, outreach, and curating training/playlists based on skill development goals. Partner with employee and management stakeholders to ensure multiple perspectives are evaluated.

Designs career development planning templates and tools including learning plans, goal setting and action planning for employees. Documents processes and evaluates for effectiveness.

Coordinates with the HR Training & Development Coordinator to maximize the talent management system functionality to provide career development information, opportunities and learning to facilitate skills building.
