Adjunct Lecturer: Culturally & Linguistically Diverse Ed/Special Ed Generalist
The School of Education offers the Master's degree in Educational Equity & Cultural Diversity (EECD): Bilingual/ESL Special Education. Completion of this program qualifies teachers for the double endorsement in the areas of Special Education Generalist and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education (K-12).
Coursework in this program contains both CLD and special education content delivered in an integrated way leading to the MA degree and double endorsements. Through a grant funded by the Office of English Language Acquisition National Professional Development division titled "Diversity Endorsement and Community Engagement (DECE)", the Principal Investigator is seeking lecturers to teach double endorsement graduate level courses through the DECE project in a rural mountain community. Courses are taught using a hybrid format with class sessions delivered online along with a few onsite sessions in Eagle County, CO.
The purpose of this search is to generate a pool of potential lecturers. Actual teaching possibilities will be determined based on the sequence of the project courses aligned with lecturer background.
Instructors must possess a PHD with background, training, and/or experience in culturally and linguistically diverse (CLD) and special education.
