Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelors degree in education, business, psychology, or related field



Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

2 years experience in one of the following:
Higher education admissions or enrollment management
Student advising or related activities
Development of non-traditional students/working professionals

Candidate must also display the following:
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong organization and time management skills
Proven ability to work effectively within a diverse community in a proactive, responsive, sensitive and caring manner
Exemplary interpersonal skills; a commitment to the highest level of customer service during every interaction with internal and external customers
Ability to learn new technologies including CRM systems, marketing automation systems, and technology that provides tracking, reporting and communication to students, faculty, staff, alumni and business partners

Additional preferred skills:
Understanding the engineering vocation and ability to relate with working professionals in engineering and technical professions
Demonstrated experience in tracking key performance indicators, evaluating performance, and recommending course of action
Strong presentation skills

Position Summary:

The person in this role will manage all coordination of online graduate students, from acceptance through alumni relations. The position will entail a range of student services support including but not limited to: recruitment and admissions; advising, assisting, and referring students; assessment planning; coordinating with EPD Program Directors, the College of Engineering, and other campus partners.

The Department of Engineering Professional Development (EPD) is an internationally recognized, financially self-sustaining department within the College of Engineering with an annual operating budget of 12 million dollars. We annually serve more than 8,000 engineers and technical professionals who come from 2,600 companies, all 50 states, and 30 countries. We provide more than 300 courses per year and consistently rank in the top 10 by US News and World Report.

We fulfill the "Wisconsin Idea" by providing online graduate degree programs, non-credit short courses, and customized training to practicing professionals in a wide range of technical disciplines. The department offers programs to engineers, technical professionals, managers, and other government agency specialists located worldwide.
