The University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) is expanding its educational offerings through the department of Lifestyle Health Sciences. The Department of Lifestyle Health Sciences (LHS) is housed within the School of Health Professions (SHP), which also includes a Physician Assistant Studies Program and a Doctoral of Physical Therapy. The LHS department currently offers an online Graduate Certificate in Lifestyle Health. UNTHSC is dedicated to excellence in education, research, primary care and community service. Position Details
The Lifestyle Health Sciences Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Academic Program Manager to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
* Operates in a classroom setting and professional office environment. * Routinely uses standard classroom and office equipment such as microphones, audio/video recorders, computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
* Collaborate with the School of Health Professions' Office of Admissions and Student Success to establish Admission process and procedures.
* Assist in the development of a student orientation program designed to meet the unique needs of graduate students in a blended distance education program.
* Coordinate the development and dissemination of communication and marketing materials (brochures, website, and social media) to promote the department and program.
* Assist with coordinating face-to-face seminars on topics related to emotional intelligence, team building, professionalism, coaching, and leadership.
* Support student success and retention by monitoring participation, academic performance, and degree progression.
* Develop and maintain relationships to coordinate academic support services through the Center for Innovative Learning, Financial Aid, Registrar, etc.
* Maintain confidential records, collect data, and prepare reports related to the functions of advising, planning, evaluation, and assessment.
* Attend professional development training aligned with the goals of the position.
* Other duties as identified by the Lifestyle Health Sciences Department Chair.

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree and four (4) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
* Ability to analyze situations and data to implement appropriate solutions, and create assessment reports.
* Detail and service oriented.
* Ability to multi-task.
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:
* Master's degree in an appropriate, related field (ie: Education, Counseling, Student Affairs, Admissions, Management) with 4 or more years of experience in advising and/or higher education.
* Four or more years of experience working with students in higher education setting.
* Event or program planning and implementation experience.
* Academic program marketing, promotion and recruitment.
* Experience with Canvas Learning Management System.
