FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE & QUALITY ANALYST

Occupational Summary:
Deliver research and analysis that is used to design and manage Duke's employee benefits programs. The insightful research will help shape strategy, inform key decisions and produce effective changes in benefits programs.

Work Performed:
  • Support the Financial Performance & Quality Assurance Manager by analyzing and reporting on plan performance using metrics such as participation, demographics, utilization and expenses.
  • Process, aggregate and analyze data.
  • Link and analyze large data sets using basic skills in database management and programming logic.
  • Prepare content for reports, slide decks and meeting notes.
  • Conduct literature reviews of surveys and industry studies.
  • Perform quality assurance and review.
  • Document processes for internal management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

Minimum Qualifications

Education:
B.A. / B.S. from an accredited institution preferably in Finance or Business Administration or a related field Practical and extensive plan performance and financial analysis experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
Experience:
Three years of experience in financial analysis, information gathering and reporting. Proficient in software and financial analysis tools and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with Tableau
  • Experience with R, Stata or
