Assistant Professor in Family Sciences
The Department of Family Sciences in seeking a twelve-month, tenure-track position at the University of Kentucky in the Department of Family Sciences with an anticipated distribution of effort of 50% research, 40% teaching, and 10% service. This position would contribute toward the College strategic plan goal of producing innovative solutions through multidisciplinary collaborations.
The Department of Family Sciences is a student-centered department in the College of Agriculture, Food, and Environment at the University of Kentucky. The department includes areas of specialization in family processes, adolescence, aging, couple and family therapy, and consumer economics and personal finance. There are approximately 150 undergraduate students, 20 M.S. students and 20 Ph.D. students. Additional information can be found at http://fam-hes.ca.uky.edu.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain a nationally recognized program of research that includes external funding and published results in peer-reviewed journals; supervise theses and dissertations; participate in departmental and collegiate governance and professional organizations. Grant-writing experience is preferred.
