The Limited full-time position within the University of Colorado Denver Department of Pathology, based in the UCH Hospital Clinical Laboratory, is designed to be a hybrid educational and practice opportunity for a pathologist who has just graduated from residency, has passed the ABP boards in AP and CP, and wishes to gain further clinical and operational skills in clinical pathology. This position will not qualify the applicant to become board eligible or certified by the ABP in any subspecialty of clinical pathology.

Employment Expectations:

Serve as an attending pathologist in anatomic pathology, with diagnostic and teaching responsibilities in the performance academic autopsies and frozen section interpretations. The candidate should expect to work closely with UCH physicians, anatomic pathology faculty, laboratory staff and trainees.

Facilitate clinical care, administrative management, teaching and research missions of the Department of Pathology, Anatomic Pathology subsection.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.)
  • Completion of AP/CP Residency in Pathology with board certification in AP/CP by the American Board of Pathology.
  • Unrestricted, Active Colorado medical license at time of application for position.
  • Candidate must apply for privileges/credentialing at the University of Colorado Hospital and with UPI.
