The Division of General Internal Medicine, Department of Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, seeks a clinician-educator at the Instructor level (or higher) committed to a career as a clinician in an academic setting, practicing and teaching palliative medicine.

Clinical duties include attending on the Palliative Care service at the University of Colorado Hospital and/or working at the Palliative Care outpatient clinic. Teaching activities include leading formal/informal teaching sessions and working closely with students, residents, fellows and other trainees that rotate through the palliative care service at University of Colorado Hospital and/or the Palliative Care outpatient clinic. Administrative responsibilities include active participation in palliative care quality improvement initiatives. Scholarly activities are encouraged and required for positions above Instructor. Faculty will participate in decisions regarding the practice operation of the University of Colorado Hospital Palliative Care service.

Qualifications

MD or DO degree
Current State of Colorado License
Current DEA
Board certified in Internal Medicine
Board eligible or board certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine (must be board certified by 2017)
