The Office of Undergraduate Admissions has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Transfer Admissions Coordinator position.

Position Emphasis:

The Transfer Admissions Coordinator will support prospective transfer students, transfer applicants, and admitted transfer students through a rolling admissions process. This position will coordinate and assist with on-campus and off-campus transfer student visits and events, including but not limited to Transfer Thursdays, Admission Promise, community college advisor workshops, calling campaigns, and transfer student orientation. This position will staff the reception desk in the Transfer Admissions Center (TAC) and arrange for TAC coverage during off-campus meetings and visits. The Transfer Admissions Coordinator will work closely with the Undergraduate Admissions recruitment, operations services, and communications teams to provide a seamless transfer admissions experience. This position will coordinate with academic advisors, transfer credit specialists, and financial aid and scholarships office staff to ensure that wrap-around services are provided throughout the transfer admission process. The Transfer Admissions Coordinator reports to the Assistant Director for Transfer Admissions and will provide guidance and support to Transfer Student Navigators (student employees).

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates will be responsible for travel expenses related to the interview process and any relocation expenses, if applicable.

Salary and Benefits:

The hiring range for this position has been established at $34,861 to $40,000 and is commensurate with skills and experience. This position is eligible for overtime compensation

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in education, communication, social science, women and gender studies, psychology, computer science, information systems, business, health sciences, physical sciences, public administration, business administration, higher education, counseling, hospitality, liberal arts, finance, accounting, human services, student affairs, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
    • Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience in an undergraduate admissions or advising office
  • 1 year of experience working directly with transfer students
  • 1 year of experience using a Student Information System (e.g., PeopleSoft or Banner)
  • 1 year of experience using Technolutions Slate platform
