Lecturer - Landscape Architecture Department

Job description

University of Colorado

Lecturer- Landscape Architecture

The Department of Landscape Architecture in the College of Architecture and Planning at the University of Colorado Denver will establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers from which future appointments to temporary, non-tenure-track positions will be made. Appointments will be part-time (less than 50%) and will be made semester-by-semester. This temporary Lecturer pool is anticipated to remain continuously active through June 30, 2017-at that point, all applications will be cleared from the pool. You are welcome to reapply to the pool after that date.

Lecturers selected from this pool will teach in the College's graduate program on the University of Colorado Denver, downtown Denver campus. Classes taught may range from three credit hours to six credit hours. These may include lectures, seminars and studios. A Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field, or a terminal degree and expertise in the course content is required. Applicants should have substantive knowledge of the landscape architecture field.

Preference may be given to applicants with prior teaching experience, a record of professional practice in landscape architecture, and a professional degree in a related field. Applicants for courses addressing specific subjects are also given consideration based on the course needs; in this case, they must have an advanced degree or proven expertise in the topic. Individuals with multidisciplinary education and expertise are strongly encouraged to apply.
