Assistant Professor of Finance
The University of Kentucky seeks to hire a tenure-track faculty member in finance. We will consider candidates at the assistant professor level. Applications are invited from candidates with outstanding quantitative and communications skills and a demonstrated capacity for high-level research. Applicants should have an expectation of publishing in the JF, JFE, and/or RFS or comparable outlets. Application review will begin in November 2018, and we will interview at the AFA meeting in Atlanta in January 2019. The start date for the position is August 2019.
The Finance department at UK has a highly productive core of research-oriented faculty that have published extensively in top finance journals. The department has a vibrant PhD program and hosts an annual, boutique conference (For past programs see: http://www.uky.edu/financeconference). Salary and teaching load are competitive with leading public universities.
UK is located in Lexington, which is in the heart of the beautiful Bluegrass Region. Lexington frequently ranks near the top of many 'Best Cities' lists, including Forbes, Kiplinger, and The Atlantic.
