The Program Manager reports directly to the CNL Program Director, as well as to the Department Chair, who has overall accountability for all academic programs in the department. The duties include, but not limited to:
  • Establishes priorities and is proactive in developing new ideas and procedures for CNL and RN to MSN program improvements. Maintains high-level knowledge of all aspects of the CNL and RN to MSN degree and communicates effectively with the public.Provides and ensures resource support for program faculty.
  • Manages all information related to the CNL and RN to MSN Programs. Works with databases and Banner software for tracking student /program related information; maintains filing systems for programmatic documents. Develops systems for real-time data retrieval that is accurate and complete. Manages and maintains MEDSPUBS. Monitors and reports all student/graduate outcomes such as HESI, NCLEX and board certification.
  • Provides administrative support for CNL and RN to MSN Programs and the Admission Committees. Attend meetings, create agendas, prepare handouts, transcribe minutes and distributes to committee members. Maintains committee files. Collaborates with the Program Director and Program Coordinator to plan and implement program specific orientation.
  • Creates CNL and RN to MSN program-related materials for presentations at seminars, conferences and meetings to actively recruit students, and participates as a recruitment representative as required. Works with the College of Nursing’s Communications Specialist to ensure that program -related web content and recruitment materials are continually updated. Collaborates with off-campus sites for student orientation and facilitation of classes/clinical experiences.
  • Serve as liaison to Augusta University Office of Academic Admissions. Receives student application files, schedule interviews, track prospective student requests, facilitate clinical contracts, and coordinate advising assignments for students enrolled in the program.
  • Works collaboratively with Academic and Student Affairs and Clinical Coordinators to collect and manage student program data in an efficient manner to provide for easy retrieval of real-time information, for student recruitment activities and promotion of the CNL and RN to MSN Programs to potential students or faculty educators.
  • Responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating a recruitment strategy for CNL and MSN students. Manages, analyzes and reports CNL and RN to MSN program data. Provides managerial support to the CNL Program Director and RN to MSN Program Coordinator.
  • Provides and participates in cross-training with other Program Managers on a continuing basis for business continuity purposes in the event of an absence. Maintains an accurate and up to date desk reference for all job duties and responsibilities.
  • Provides administrative support for all CNL and RN to MSN grant related activities.
  • Other duties/CON events as designated by Program Director/ Coordinator, Chair and/or Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.
