Asst Professor

The University of Colorado Denver, Department of Radiation Oncology is seeking a radiation oncologist to work within the University of Colorado Health System at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs. The position includes general radiation oncology clinical responsibilities as well as an expectation of contribution to the department's overall academic mission, with opportunities to supervise trainees and to participate in clinical research.

This position requires the completion of a residency in radiation oncology. This position requires someone to be able to obtain licensure for the practice of medicine within the State of Colorado and obtain privileges at our participating hospitals.
This is a full time position reporting to the Chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology.
The radiation oncologist in the position is expected to see and treat patients with cancer. In addition to their designated sites of expertise, they will also be required to see urgent or emergency patients with other diagnoses as the need arises. All physicians are also expected to rotate at any of our facilities associated with the department.
This position would preferably be filled by someone with demonstrated experience and expertise in the treatment of gynecologic malignancies and brachytherapy. This could be demonstrated by prior research or peer-reviewed publications in these fields.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Must be certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). Has been in practice for a minimum of three years after residency training.
Desired Qualifications:
Individuals with an interest in the science of health care quality and the development of metrics to monitor the quality of patient outcomes are especially encouraged to apply.
