Professional Research Assistant

This full time Professional Research Assistant position will work within the Consortium for Fibrosis Research and Translation (CFReT). this position will be involved in the development, validation, and implementation of high content cell-based assays, biochemical assays, and curating biological samples and collections of small molecules. Prior experience with developing high content imaging cell-based assays and fluorescence, luminescence, and absorbance based biochemical assays is highly desirable. Any experience with using automated liquid handling is also desirable, as is a strong background in cell culture methods. The individual will be required to accurately record and interpret data, perform basic statistical analyses, and be knowledgeable in word processing and spreadsheets.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

This position requires a minimum of a BA or BS degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field. Strong preference will be given to individuals with prior working experience with troubleshooting liquid handling equipment and developing high content cell-based assays.
