Position Summary: Serve as the primary communications specialist for Carolina Demography research. The initial focus will be on a research project concerning the North Carolina education pipeline from high school through postsecondary institutions and its relationship to individual economic mobility and the state's forecasted employment needs. The communications specialist will promote and share project knowledge by helping to develop a communications strategy to communicate with clients and other significant stakeholders. The specialist will identify the best way to brand the education project specifically and Carolina Demography generally. The specialist will work with the Carolina Demography team to develop the education project website, redesign the current unit website, and identify continuous improvements based on user feedback. The specialist will also contribute to public in-person presentations by helping to identify appropriate content, presentation materials, and by preparing presentation scripts.

Education Requirements:

Qualification and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
