Job Summary

The Leeds School of Business is now welcoming applications for a Senior Manager, Employer Engagement. Reporting to the Associate Director of Employer Engagement & Partnerships, The Senior Manager of Employer Engagement is the primary liaison for student and employer requests for engagement and recruiting at Leeds. As the first point of contact for employers, this role is charged with developing and maintaining relationships with current and future corporate partners within the accounting and finance fields, as well as nurturing existing connections. This position is also responsible for seeking out and cultivating relationships with potential new recruiting partners in finance- and accounting-related fields. This position is an externally-focused member of a team that provides superior customer service to employers and works to connect them with undergraduate talent to meet their needs. The Senior Manager must coordinate all employer job and internship requests, work with faculty and staff to schedule engagement opportunities, and collect and organize statistical data regarding employment opportunities for Leeds students. This person also coordinates employer visits including, but not limited to, on-campus interviews, meet and greets, office hours and information sessions. This position works closely with the Leeds Advancement team to cultivate relationships with C-level executives and senior leaders within current and potential school parntners. In addition, this role will serve as the Career Development liaison in developing partnerships with and supporting Leeds student organizations in connecting with employers for career and networking-related events.

This position must work closely with all members of the Career Development team to ensure that team members are aware of current and new employers, recruiting timelines, as well as trends and challenges, in finance and accounting recruitment. In addition, the Senior Manager is a key liaison of the Leeds Career team with the Leeds Advancement team, the CU Real Estate Center, and the Burridge Center for Finance. This role must coordinate closely with the Campus Career Services team on employer events and engagement opportunities across campus.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Employer Engagement and Relationship Management

  • First point of contact for employers interested in recruiting at Leeds.
  • Create a positive experience and ensure that all employers are aware of recruiting opportunities at Leeds and more broadly at CU.
  • Cultivate new contacts by engaging employers who have posted on the job board.
  • Identify and create recruitment plans for entry-level employers.
  • Lead employers through recruiting options on Leeds campus to ensure maximum productivity for their time.
  • Work with corporate partners within the accounting and finance functions.
  • Understand the functional roles and recruiting goals of these partners.
  • Work closely with their recruiting and leadership teams to ensure their engagement at Leeds supports their strategic and recruiting goals.
  • Actively seek out and cultivate relationships with new corporate partners for the Career Development office.
  • Member of outreach strategy team in areas identified for growth. Strengthen and expand relationships with current employers in those industries.
  • Serve as an employer "concierge." Manage on-campus interviews, information sessions, employer panels, meet & greets, resume critiques, office hours, mock interviews, and new initiatives designed to help connect employers with Leeds students.
    • Responsibilities include managing room reservations, interview schedules, parking logistics, faculty lunches, and employer satisfaction surveys.
  • Work with student organizations to facilitate their engagement with employers and corporate partners.
  • Point of contact for employers within the career team on large fall events which may include career fairs, networking nights, and student organization events.
    • Attend all meetings surrounding those events and work closely with the Career Operations team to execute. Manage invitations, parking, logistics and employer experience for those events.
  • Manage the Employer Engagement Student Ambassador program.
    • Hire, train and supervise up to 5 students each semester to prepare for employer on-campus interviews and events.
  • Provide ongoing communication with current employers which may include surveys and newsletters.
  • Prepare and present end-of-year engagement and recruiting reports for corporate partners.


Job Board Management

  • Work within campus job board (Handshake, or other platform) in order to track students, employers and job postings.
  • Evaluate current technology and work with LTS and the Campus Career Services team to evaluate best practices and implement new tools to improve the student and employer experience campus-wide.
  • Manage the job posting process for the Leeds Career Development Office: Respond to emails and phone calls from employers and recommend appropriate action for posting the position.
  • Manage the engagement process through Salesforce and the Employer Engagement Survey.
  • Educate employers about the recruiting process and recommend recruiting strategies and engagement touchpoints to meet their needs.
  • Assist Leeds students in using the job board, especially when applying for and interviewing with employers on campus.
  • Serve as the liaison to the campus-wide Career Services office for all job board communication, training, and technical support.
Employer Relations Data Management and Performance Tracking
  • Utilize Salesforce to track all recruiting-related employer engagement at Leeds and facilitate coordination with the Leeds Advancement Office and Centers.
  • Establish metrics with entry-level employers including numbers of job and internship postings, conversion and placement rates, and recruiter satisfaction.
  • Create and implement processes for ongoing, consistent tracking and reporting of employer activity within Salesforce.
  • Analyze and organize data to track key metrics for employer visits, recruitment and placements.
  • Work with the Career Operations and Employer Engagement team to develop periodic reports to share with employers and develop suggestions to improve recruiting effectiveness.
  • Participate in the ongoing evaluation and measurement of the EE function in conjunction with the Associate Director and the Executive Director of Career Development, including the development and evaluation of annual goals and methods for tracking progress.


Communication and Marketing

  • Communicate job and internships postings regularly to career advisors and the Career Operations Coordinator.
  • Communicate information about Career Fairs to employers.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination with other departments at Leeds, including Centers, Advancement, and External Relations.
  • Promote a high-quality, comprehensive experience for external partners.
  • Work with the Career Operations and Leeds Communication teams to develop marketing collateral and website content relevant to Leeds employers.

What We Require

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
  • 3 or more years of progressively responsible experience in business, staffing/recruiting, or other fast-paced, relationship-oriented, customer facing role.
  • Project management experience.

What We Would Like You To Have

  • Prior experience in a university career office or on a human resources/university relations team.
  • Knowledge of the accounting and finance industries and their recruiting timelines.
  • Proficiency with job board management.
  • Experience using a CRM to collect, track, and analyze data.
  • Significant experience with logistics management and communication.
